12:41 PM 9-8-2013

Since August 15 the Institute of World Policy with support of the International Fund “Vidrodzhennia” has renewed its open air exhibitions in different regions of Ukraine. The main aim of the project “There is a better side of Europe” is to inform Ukrainian citizens about the benefits from European integration.Exhibitions, organized on the main streets and squares as “Street Eurouniversity”, gather Ukrainian citizens who can openly discuss about European integration with IWP experts and diplomats of EU member states. Ukrainians can visit an exhibition of caricatures which present two realities – Ukrainian and European – with relevant comments. Within the project were organised lectures about European integration given by Ukrainian experts and diplomats of EU member states.
According to Alyona Getmanchuk, IWP Director, the Institute plans to present this exhibition first and foremost in Central, Northern and Southern Ukraine where according to opinion polls citizens are not sure about their foreign policy preferences whether to support European integration or integration to the Customs Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan. The first city where the “Street Eurouniversity” will be organised is Chernihiv and will be launched by a lecture given by Martin Day, Deputy Head of Mission of the British Embassy in Ukraine.
“Street eurouniversities” will be organised on:
15 August – Chernihiv
