Vitalii Antonov joined the Supervisory board of the Institute of World Policy

The Ukrainian entrepreneur Vitalii Antonov joined the Supervisory board of the Institute of world policy (IWP).Antonov is the head of the Supervisory board of “Concern Galnaftogaz” (a chain of gas station complexes called “OKKO”). He is also the Honorary Consul general of Lithuania in Lviv.

Alyona Getmanchuk, director of the IWP, stated that an important element for all analytical centers world-wide is to cooperate with socially responsible business:

“In the U.S. and EU countries cooperation between analytical centers and business represents a powerful means of influence to shape and adopt state solutions in various fields. The membership of the famous Ukrainian entrepreneur Vitalii Antonov in the Supervisory board of the IWP can become a positive example of an effective and mutually beneficial partnership between business and analytical centers also in Ukraine. The business he has built is a model of concrete Europeneization, which is the key-goal of our work at the IWP”.

Other members of the Supervisory board of the IWP are Valdas Adamkus, who was President of Lithuania twice; Carl Bildt, former Prime Minister of Sweden; Adam Michnik, editor in chief of the biggest Polish newspaper “Gazeta Wyborcza”; famous foreign experts James Sherr and Adrian Karatnycky; diplomat and politician Roman Shpek, who was Ambassador of Ukraine to the EU from 2000 to 2008.

The Supervisory board of the IWP is an advisory board. Thanks to their suggestions and recommendations, its members contribute to the realization of the mission of the IWP, that is, to implement European standards and practices in Ukraine as well as increase public support for European and Euroatlantic integration.
