Institute of World Policy held a Media-Club Discussion participated by Volodymyr Kryzhanivskyy, the first Ambassador of Ukraine to the Russian Federation.Volodymyr Kryzhanivskyy states that searches and threats to the staff of the Ukrainian library in Moscow are the part of the strategy of the Russian authorities to put as much pressure as possible on Ukraine.

Answering the question whether the reaction of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is corresponding to the situation around Ukrainian minority in Russia, he claimed that this reaction is not tolerant towards Ukrainian state and people.
“MFA should work out a strategical line of the countrym while President should be the one to take actions”, – former Ambassador underlined and added that “Presenting books to the Ukrainian library on behalf of President Janukovich is a right step, but it should be supported with political declarations, statements. There should be no pressure towards Russian organizations in Ukraine, but diplomatic notes, statements should be made on political level”.{2}
