The Director Of The Institute Of World Policy Took Part In The Presentation Series “Ukraine Before The Presidential Election” In Germany

The director of the IWP Alyona Getmanchuk took part in the presentation series “Ukraine before the presidential election: chances and prospects” in Germany December 9 to December 12, 2009. Professor Oleksiy Haran and historian and political analyst Mykola Ryabchuk also delivered speeches and discussed the topics during presentations in Munich, Cologne, and Berlin.

The Ludwig Maximilian University and The Carl Friedrich von Siemens Fund were partners of the event in Munich. The Lew Kopelew Forum assisted in Cologne. There were two events in Berlin. Ukrainian delegation met experts of The Science and Policy Foundation, and then took part in the discussion with guests of The Berlin European Academy.

Alyona Getmanchuk delivered four speeches on the foreign policy of Ukraine.

Professor Oleksiy Haran presented his new book «Ukraine in Europe – Questions and Answers» during the presentation series in Germany. This book covers some interesting aspects of the Ukrainian political processe for the international audience.
