1 st Romanian-Ukrainian civil society forum took place in Bucharest on May 24-25th. Organizer of the forum on the Ukrainian sidewas Institute of World Policy, from Romania organization activities were performed by Romanian Centre for European Policies.Forum was supported by the UN Development Programme (UNDP) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania. Within two days the participants discussed the most sensitive issues of bilateral relations and analyzed the opportunities for further development of bilateral projects. The Ukrainian delegation at the forum was included leading experts, such as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Institute of World Policy, Victor Shlinchak, IWP Director Alyona Getmanchuk, political analysts Volodymyr Fesenko, Oleksiy Haran, Vitaliy Bala, Oleksandr Paliy, leading experts on Ukrainian-Romanian relations and representatives of major think tanks Ukraine.
