Kateryna Zarembo, IWP deputy director, visited Brussels on October 11-12, 2016.On October 12 Kateryna Zarembo took part in expert discussion “Strategic Review of EUAM Ukraine: Gathering civil society input” which took place in Brussels. The EU was represented by the EEAS and European Commission officials. Ukraine’s view was delivered by seven civil society representatives from Kyiv, Kharkiv and Odesa. The aim of the consultations was to discuss the progress in Ukraine’s civilian security sector reform, further reform priorities and streamlining EUAM activities according to Ukraine’s needs.
The event was organized by European Peacebuilding Liaison Office.
Kateryna Zarembo delivered the results of her research on EUAM effectiveness which she conducted within the joint project of IWP and nine other organizations “Whole of Society Conflict Prevention and Peacebuilding” (in the framework of the EU “HORIZON2020” program). The results of her research will be also presented in a working paper (coming soon).
In 2015 Kateryna Zarembo published a policy brief “EUAM’s First Year: Ambitions versus reality”.
