Alyona Getmanchuk, Director of the Institute of World Policy, presented a speech during the Parliamentary Hearings dedicated to Ukraine, which took place on March 5, 2012 in the Parliament of Canada.She described the domestic political situation in Ukraine before the upcoming parliamentary election in October 2012 to Canadian MP’s and also answered numerous questions. IWP’s Director also called for Canadian Members of Parliament and governmental representatives, present at the hearings, to support the Ukrainian civil society more actively since it de-facto plays an opposition role in Ukraine these days.
