Yevhen Mahda will be appointed as a new director of the Institute of World Policy

The Supervisory Board of the Institute of World Policy at its meeting on December 15th 2017 adopted the request of Alyona Getmanchuk on the dismissal as the director of IWP.

Yevhen Mahda will be appointed as a new director of the organization. The relevant decision will be taken on December 18, 2017.

“We are grateful to Alyona Getmanchuk for many years of her dedicated work as the member of the team of the Institute of World Policy, and also decided to satisfy her request for dismissal. Taking into account the large contribution to the development of the organization, the board decided to offer Alyona Getmanchuk the ability to join the Supervisory Board of the Institute”, -said Viktor Shlinnchak, chairman of the IWP Supervisory Board.

Yevhen Mahda will assume official authority immediately after the completion of resignation process by the previous director.

For information. Yevhen Mahda – Candidate of Political Science, Associate Professor. In 1996 he graduated with honors from the Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University, and in 2006 defended his Ph.D. thesis on the topic “Regional Conflict in the Middle East in a Global Context.”

Associate Professor of the Publishing and Printing Institute of NTUU KPI named after Igor Sikorsky, where he lectures on “Political consulting, election technology and political advertising”, “Media activities under hybrid warfare”, “International image of Ukraine”.

Author of studies “Hybrid war: how to survive and win” (Kharkiv, 2015), “Hybrid aggression of Russia: lessons for Europe” (Kyiv, 2017). Along with Tetyana Vodoika he coauthored a book entitled “Games of reflection: how world perceives Ukraine” (Kharkiv, 2016). In 2017, the publishing house “Club of Family Leisure” published another book “Sixth. Memories of the Future”, which is a study of Ukrainian presidents.

Since April 2017 – a member of the Public Council at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
