Institute of World Policy organized the sixth Cinema-Club at which the film “Ne goruy!” (“Don’t grieve!”(1969) was demonstrated.This comedy is directed by famous Georgian film director Giorgi Danelia (“I step through Moscow”, “Mimino”, “Afonya”, “Kin-dza-dza”).
The film is directed after Claude Tillier’s novel My Uncle Benjamin, and is one of the most remarkable works by Giorgi Daniela. The film features a dazzling ensemble of actors: Sergo Zakariadze, Vakhtang Kikabidze, Sophiko Chaureli, Frunzik Mkrtchian.
The film was awarded 1970 – Mardel Plata, Special Jury Prize “Condor”, and Cartagena, Award for Best Actor,
