Street Eurouniversity was presented in Simferopol

On the 24th of October, Institute of World Policy with the support of the British Embassy organised Street Eurouniversity in Simferopol – the exhibition of caricatures which illustrate benefits of European integration for Ukraine.The exhibition was opened by Martin Day, Deputy Head of Mission of the British Embassy to Ukraine. Diplomat gave a short lecture on the opportunities of the European integration.
British diplomat noted the Ukrainian high potential development and stressed that the Association Agreement with the EU would help to use this potential for improving the living conditions of the Ukrainian citizens. Martin Day also said that after the signing of the Agreement Ukraine would have up to 15 years for the adoption of European standards (depending on the sector of economy). Meanwhile, approximately 97 % of all EU tariff lines would be eliminated on the first day of when the Agreement comes into force.
Caricatures presented within this project illustrate two realities in around twenty social, economic, and political spheres of everyday life in Ukraine and in EU states. The authors of the caricatures are famous Ukrainian artists Maryna Turovska, Kostyantyn Kazanchev, Ihor Bezhuk, and Oleksiy Kustovskyy. Pictures were ordered by the IWP.
