Ukraine on the Eve of Vilnius: How to Make the Economy Work for National Security?

The Institute of World Policy held the fifth session of the Strategic Discussion Club on September 18th, 2013.Ukrainian and European experts and diplomats discussed the relationship between the economy and national security, the basis of economic security, and internal and external economic threats to Ukraine.

The Strategic Discussion Club aims to create opportunities to hold informal but substantial public discussions on the strategic matters of the national security of Ukraine on a regular basis. Meetings of the Strategic discussion club are usually initiated to cover some of the most important issues of the national security and are held once every two months. Well-known Ukrainian and foreign experts, politicians and diplomats are invited to participate in the club meetings.

The event wass held under the support of the NATO Liaison Office in Ukraine and the Embassy of Norway in Ukraine.

The Institute of World Policy publishes policy briefs after each session of the Strategic Discussion Club.
