“Ukraine-EU: a Year after Signing the Association Agreement. Political Dimension” Photos

Institute of World Policy in partnership with Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine held the 2015 International Conference on Ukraine-EU relations on May 12.Conference Theme: Ukraine-EU: a Year after Signing of the Association Agreement

The conference, marking one-year anniversary of signing the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU, brought together diplomats, politicians, researchers, public activists and journalists, engaged in the process of European integration of Ukraine.

The speakers on the first panel gave an excellent analysis of a wide range of issues related to the political and security dimensions of Ukraine-EU cooperation.

At this year conference IWP introduced one innovation: the participantscould ask their questions not only after the speeches of speakers, but also before it.

The participants were encouraged to comment on the speakers’ presentations and ask them questions in Twitter, using hashtag UAinEU. The tweets were shown on a big screen through TweetBeam program.

The conference was held within IWP’s “New European Policy: Filling the Awareness Gap” project supported by “Ukraine National Initiatives to Enhance Reforms” (UNITER) project, funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by the Pact in Ukraine.

The American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine (ACC) provided informational support for the conference.
