The IWP Director Took Part In 46th Munich Conference on Security Policy

Alyona Getmanchuk, the director of Institute of World Policy, took part in the 46th Munich Conference on Security Policy (Feb 5 to Feb 7, 2010).The world policy leaders, experts on global security, scientists, and world leading journalists visit this annual forum. Main topics of 46th Munich Conference on Security Policy were the world resources sharing, european and global security, the armament control, nuclear non-proliferation treaty, regional conflicts. Special attention was paid to NATO’s strategy in Afganistan.

Petro Poroshenko, the minister of foreign affairs, was the head of Ukraine’s official delegation to 46th Munich Conference on Security Policy.

Alyona Getmanchuk participated in discussions with General James Jones, United States National Security Advisor; John McCain, United States Senator; Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg, the Minister of Defence of Germany; Carl Bildt, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Sweden; Admiral James Stavridis, NATO\’s Supreme Allied Commander Europe.

The Munich Conference on Security Policy is an annual conference held since 1962 in Hotel Bayerischer Hof in Munich. The conference was founded by German publisher Ewald-Heinrich von Kleist-Schmenzin.The Conference is supported by German Government.
